I’m updating from the couch in the den in front of the television that I’ve forgotten how to turn on<\/em> as the girls sleep in their bedroom ALONE.\u00a0 If you aren’t quite familiar with our usual sleeping arrangements, let me clarify.\u00a0 The girls are asleep in their own<\/em> beds in their own<\/em> room alone<\/em>.\u00a0 For the first time since I became pregnant with baby number two and realized that our children would have to share a room, I think it may actually work.\u00a0 If both girls sleep through the night without waking the other and if I don’t hear a thud and tiny foot steps running down the hall to our bedroom tonight it will be a miracle.\u00a0 If we all wake up in the same spot that we all fell asleep in, THAT will be a miracle.\u00a0 It is working at this moment, which is usually how we operate.\u00a0 I did have to lie down with Mary Clare in one twin bed while holding McCanless’ hand in the other twin bed until they both fell asleep, as did my arm.\u00a0 BUT, it worked.\u00a0 Dare I attempt to get a sweet photo of my girls asleep in their room in their twin beds?\u00a0 Don’t think so.<\/p>\n

As far as the potty training goes, if it were possible to remain at home for an entire 12 hour stretch, it just may work.\u00a0 Dance camp, grocery trips and pool outings have just gotten in our way.\u00a0 While we were home today, Mary Clare wore her panties, or birthday suit.\u00a0\u00a0 She never once had a “whoops” and went to the potty several times, even without me reminding her.\u00a0 Of course, she<\/em> always reminded me<\/em> to give her the Potty Prize, a Skittle.\u00a0 I’m just not ready to venture out without a diaper just yet.\u00a0 This was much easier with McCanless, without the added distraction of another child, that is.\u00a0\u00a0 We’ll see.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
