Yesterday, at 4:30 after my first grueling day back at school, Mel texted me that we would have photos taken with Steve Roos <\/a>at 6:30.\u00a0 “What day?” was my reply.\u00a0 Tonight.\u00a0 After a slight fit on my part and kicking and screaming, I agreed.\u00a0\u00a0 Wouldn’t you know it.\u00a0 It happened to be Monday.\u00a0 In Hartsville, every boutique, every children’s shop, EVERYTHING is closed on Monday.\u00a0 No new photo outfits for this photography session. \u00a0 I had to throw together whatever I could find.\u00a0 I usually pride myself in perfectly coordinating outfits for my brood on two occasions:\u00a0 Sunday and Photography.\u00a0 (Those are the only chances I get with McCanless.) \u00a0 I couldn’t decide if we should break out the new fall wardrobe or find what was left of our too tight, too bright, summer wear.\u00a0 The 100 degree weather and 100% humidity decided for me.\u00a0 I threw on\u00a0 the usual, jeans and a t-shirt that I happened to wear to school that day, bathed the girls and even let McCanless decide what to wear. \u00a0 We were smiling and walking down Laurel Oak in downtown Hartsville by 7PM, and it couldn’t have turned out better, even if last minute.\u00a0 If I do say so myself.<\/p>\n It’s amazing how life changes with the seasons.<\/p>\n Summer 2009<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
