<\/a><\/p>\nOnce McCanless had her bowl of cereal and I finally dragged MC out of bed, things rolled along quite well.\u00a0 We were out of the door by 7:45 dressed and fed. (MC ate a brownie, which is the only thing I could get in her-better than no breakfast, right?) Have I mentioned to you before that my children and husband are NOT morning people?\u00a0 At all.\u00a0 That hasn’t changed.<\/p>\n McCanless chose both of their first day outfits and had to accessorize hers with a necklace, side ponytail, special earrings, blue sequin flip flops and a green sweater.\u00a0 (Despite the 95 degree weather.)\u00a0 I had to laugh and remind her of the huge cow bell she insisted on wearing on her first day of 4K several years ago.\u00a0 Luckily, MC only insisted on her pink “Sunday shoes,” which are a size too small, I think.\u00a0 After I snapped a few photos, kissed a groggy daddy in PJ’s,\u00a0 and loaded the car with two book bags, two lunch bags, two snack bags, nap mat, “jet pack” (emergency pack for MC), summer reading, supplies, and my camera we were on our way!\u00a0 Day 1 of 180, here we come!<\/p>\n We are already singing, “Who’s the best class at THA?\u00a0 4K, 4K, Fooooooour 4!”<\/p>\n Smile!<\/p>\n \n Clare’s not in pain.\u00a0 She’s winking.<\/p>\n Big sister stepped in to help…Smile!<\/p>\n …and Clare, once again, listend perfectly<\/em> when I asked her to turn around so I could get a bookbag shot.\u00a0 Good luck, Ms. Chure!<\/p>\n McCanless and Ms. Jenner, her 2nd grade teacher.<\/p>\n (MC was busy socializing and refused to take the time to get a photo.)<\/p>\n \n Have fun, girls!<\/p>\n \n \n <\/a> So I snapped these two photos with my cell phone at 7:00 this morning.\u00a0 I was a bit behind schedule and thought I’d never get them awake.\u00a0 (Guess I need to re-think my morning routine.)\u00a0 I must say, it was a slightly difficult start to the 2011 school year.
