So, this morning I jumped out of bed glad to be finally free of my fish bowl feeling and I hit the ground running.\u00a0 After calling my nursing friend extraordinaire, April, to administer my Neulasta painlessly-Sorry Mel I do love you,but I just had to call in a professional.\u00a0 “This is great,” I thought,\u00a0 “Maybe I’ll be one of the lucky ones with little to no side effects.\u00a0 Surely on the day after treatment I shouldn’t feel bad anyway, right?”\u00a0 WRONG.\u00a0 After my shower, sweep through the house, and a Wal-mart run, I literally couldn’t make it to my house, so I stopped by my mom’s office and crashed on her couch for about 30 minutes.\u00a0 Once I pried myself off of her couch, I came home and crashed again on my couch.\u00a0 (disclaimer:\u00a0 I have never once in all my years, have ever taken a nap on my couch, alone in my house without one of my children.)\u00a0 I finally jumped up to check on the time.\u00a0 2:30!\u00a0 Mary Clare gets out of school at 2:15!\u00a0 I jumped up, zoomed to school and gathered my chicks.\u00a0 As typical, Mary Clare fell asleep in the car and McCanless and I tackled homework in peace once we arrived at home.\u00a0 Mom came by to get MC for dance\u00a0 at 4:45 and McCanless went with them.\u00a0 Whew!\u00a0 I was able to sit for a minute again.\u00a0 Thankfully, we’ve had such gracious friends offer dinner each night, which has been such a huge help. What a blessing!\u00a0 The girls are in the bed, Mel’s at a City council meeting and I’m just about to crash once again!<\/p>\n
Overall Day 2: <\/strong>No nausea! No nausea meds! No pain meds! Hair still intact!\u00a0 (I did take my Claritin for the Neulasta, however.)\u00a0 Happy that my spirits are up.
