October 1-Day 20<\/h3>\n

We did it.\u00a0 Mel shaved my head last night!\u00a0 I must say the anticipation of my hair falling out was more of a bigger deal than it actually being gone!\u00a0 I think God’s way of preparing me for my bald head was to drive me nuts enough to want it gone!\u00a0 (Wink!)\u00a0 I wore a Carolina ball cap yesterday to MUSC and by the time we got back in the car, where I immediately took off my cap, my hair was a mess.\u00a0 I nearly had a bald spot and overall,\u00a0 it was so very thin.\u00a0 That, added to the flatness from wearing the cap created a hot<\/em> mess. \u00a0 Not a pretty sight.\u00a0 I knew that I couldn’t wash it again.\u00a0 Every morning more and more hair fell out in the shower.\u00a0 It was time.<\/p>\n

Mel started and MC seemed to be fine with it, as if she was used to her mom shaving her head.\u00a0 She has yet to even say much about it.\u00a0 McCanless was excited at first, then seemed a little sad as more and more fell onto the towel.\u00a0 I asked her to help her dad and immediately she smiled and grabbed the clippers.\u00a0 She buzzed a few rows.\u00a0 Afterward, it felt strange, but very liberating.<\/p>\n

Someone today asked if I cried and many have asked if I’m “okay.”\u00a0 I’m absolutely fine!\u00a0 No tears, whatsoever.\u00a0 I’m great, actually.\u00a0 I met a few friends downtown this morning to buy a few Positively Pink t-shirts and I even went to the Hartsville Downtown Marketplace. (In a hat.)\u00a0 It wasn’t really planned, but ended up being a great way to debut my new look. I’m even heading to the Jazz Festival tonight downtown with Mel.<\/p>\n

I was laughing at McCanless taking so many photos of me!\u00a0 My mini-paparazzi.<\/p>\n

Baring it all-no make-up, no hair.<\/p>\n

McDonald’s with the kiddos this morning.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

On to Juice<\/a> for a bit of Positively Pink shopping!<\/p>\n

Today, has been an amazing day filled with so many people that I love, lots of laughter and fun!<\/p>\n
