{"id":7237,"date":"2011-11-15T12:43:16","date_gmt":"2011-11-15T17:43:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.babypennington.com\/?p=7237"},"modified":"2011-11-15T12:49:43","modified_gmt":"2011-11-15T17:49:43","slug":"chemo-treatment-4-movin-on-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.babypennington.com\/?p=7237","title":{"rendered":"Chemo Treatment 4-Movin&#8217; On UP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Day 2-I have not updated my chemo journey in a while because of my naivety.\u00a0 I assumed at the start of all of this, once I documented daily during Treatment One that all subsequent treatments would follow the same path. \u00a0\u00a0 Little did I realize, <em>although I was told specifically by my nurse<\/em>, that each treatment would snowball, each becoming increasingly more difficult.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After treatment 2, where I had a severe reaction to Taxotere, a chemo drug, I thought that round was rough simply because of the reaction.\u00a0 Once they put me on steroids, they woudn&#8217;t be quite so bad.\u00a0 Wrong assumption again.\u00a0 Treatment 3 was, by far the most difficult.\u00a0 Maybe because I was alone, as I had to ship the girls out for the week with willing grands and chauffeurs, and Mel was on a business trip in Chicago.\u00a0 I really had nothing to focus my mind on other than feeling terrible.\u00a0 So, I&#8217;m going to play naive again this week and hope that because I&#8217;ll be keeping my babies at home and Mel is at least a phone call away, it will be smoother.\u00a0 (I know I&#8217;m kidding myself, but it&#8217;s what I&#8217;m banking on for now.)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">My treatment yesterday went smoothly. No reaction, (although today I look like a sunburned chipmunk thanks to the steroids.)
