{"id":7398,"date":"2011-12-06T20:21:34","date_gmt":"2011-12-07T01:21:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.babypennington.com\/?p=7398"},"modified":"2011-12-07T17:13:13","modified_gmt":"2011-12-07T22:13:13","slug":"day-two-after-treatment-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.babypennington.com\/?p=7398","title":{"rendered":"Day two after Treatment #5"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">-So I know the culprit.\u00a0 It&#8217;s 7:00 pm, and my friend just stopped by to administer my Nulasta shot.\u00a0 She typically comes in the early morning after my treatment, but tonight just couldn&#8217;t make it.\u00a0 I think it may be best this way.\u00a0 (Too bad we only now figured it out.)\u00a0 I&#8217;ve been very groggy\/sleepy today, but not that painful, excruciating feeling I usually feel.\u00a0 So,\u00a0 I&#8217;m assuming that it&#8217;s the Nulasta that makes me feel that way.\u00a0 Hopefully, I&#8217;ll sleep through a good bit of that and only have a rough two or three days versus my typical four.\u00a0 We shall see.\u00a0 I&#8217;m watching Holiday Cupcake Wars on the Food Network and thinking about making cupcakes tonight.\u00a0 By far, very different from my last 4 (day after treatments).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">-Yesterday, my chemo nurse submerged my fingertips in ice during my Taxotere.\u00a0 Apparently the ice prevents the drug from getting into the cells and causing further nail damage.\u00a0 She also recommended I go to a skin care clinic.\u00a0 I really feel that my toenails are starting to lift.\u00a0 They are getting pretty bad, but only one more treatment to go, so maybe they will hold on!\u00a0\u00a0 Another nurse friend of mine suggested that I take Biotin and a B-complex vitamin, so I&#8217;m doing all I can at this point.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">-Did you know that each chemo treatment is roughly $17,000.\u00a0 That&#8217;s $17,000 x 6, plus all of the doctor visits, and extras that are added for chemo only.
