Wow, when I thought I was ready to get “back in the swing of things” I never realized how busy we actually are. I love being back at work and hearing stories of Mary Clare on a daily basis, and seeing McCanless be the “cool” second grader that she is.\u00a0 (Especially after those grumpy, not-so-happy morning rush days).<\/p>\n
This past weekend, we celebrated the long and happy life of Mel’s grandmother, “Nana,” who passed away on Friday morning.\u00a0 We also celebrated four birthday parties, missed a Valentine party, watched McCanless hip hop during half-time at a Coker College game, and had a fantastic time visiting with family who traveled to honor Nana’s life.\u00a0 To say our weekend was busy is an understatement.<\/p>\n
Valentine’s Day is tomorrow, and if you have ever worked in a school (especially middle school area) you know it’s like the day before Christmas break.<\/p>\n
McCanless has a dance competition this weekend.<\/p>\n
My mom will turn 61 this weekend. (Which made me realize my actual age last night while soaking in the tub-with both girls.\u00a0 I could have sworn I’m only 34.)<\/p>\n
Mel has at least one speaking\/meeting\/social event every single night this week.<\/p>\n
Oh, and while I officially stopped wearing my wig in public, I threw it on this morning again.\u00a0 During our unseasonably, nearly 80 degree days, it was fine.\u00a0 This morning, after a weekend of wearing hats,\u00a0 my poor ears were so sore.\u00a0 So, I’m a brunette again.\u00a0 At least until this cold weather subsides.<\/p>\n
I have my first appointment with my new radiologist on Thursday to get that started!\u00a0 Yay!<\/p>\n
