Chemo Journal Day 15

September 26-Day 15

My text conversation with Mel this morning sums up a lot.  This was the beginning and end of our “conversation”…

Kerri:  My hair is letting go.  Fist fulls in the shower this morning.

Mel:  I know how you feel.

I know, I know, I know how you’re feeling. I remember it WELL.

Wish I could do something.

There will come a time, though, when you’ll accept it fully and enjoy not having to mess with your hair! 🙂 It is also a perk not to have to use shampoo for a while. 🙂

I’m thinking of you!!

Big hug,
🙂 Angela

And Angela is right about everything else, too! 🙂

Think of and pray for you often.

My computer has been in the hospital (because of my stupidity), so I have missed your last three blogs. I can’t say that I know how you feel about losing your hair, but since Mel knows, that is all that counts! Hang in there, there is light at the end of the tunnel. We are still praying………..

a friend of mine directed my to your page. i am 34 and have just been diagnosed with breast cancer (wed, sept 21). our cases sound VERY similar. in fact, i just had my first appt. with dr. sweatman today and my nurse coordinator is also dottye (?sp)! the “boob board” as you call it (love the name) will be meeting wednesday to discuss my case.

i loved reading your older posts to know what to expect. i have a daughter who is 7 and your early concerns, feelings, etc are mine at this moment.

i will be getting the genetics test sometime this week or next. my mom had breast cancer at an early age (41) so i figure i am a good candidate to have this mutation.

thanks for sharing your story.

Something you can do until your wig comes in is wear hats. There are a lot of great ones out there, just cover up your scalp so it the rough textures don’t hurt it.

I’m glad you and Mel are able to laugh. Good spirits are the best balm.
