Today

Today was our first teacher workday at school.

The girls had a playdate with Mimi.

When I got home,

we played outside,

we cooked,

we had a fashion show in the den,

we visited with neighborhood BFFs.

I bathed the girls and tucked them into bed and hopped on the treadmill.

Daddy came home after his meeting and crashed with MC in her little twin bed.

He wanted a few snuggles.

Today was a busy, soon-to-be back to school late summer day.

Today, last year, I was told I had cancer.

Today, I’m cancer free.

Very powerful and determined not to let anything get in your way of being normal. Kerri, you didn’t complain or ask “why”-you just did what you had to do and just kept on “believing”-I love you, MOM

Kerri, I found your blog shortly after your diagnosis and not long after I began my own BC treatments. From one young survivor to another, I understand the wealth of emotions you likely felt today, as July 22 was 1 year from diagnosis for me. Keep fighting like a girl and inspiring many more young survivors!

Oh my, Kerri … I had such a special day with the girls without realizing what an important date it was for you. I’m sorry I wasn’t in tuned to your special needs. You are just amazing and I so lucky to have you in my life.
